While Libya might not be a destination that travel agents can easily name, it undoubtedly does appeal to travelers seeking a unique way to get away. As with all countries in Africa, the temperatures here are unusually high, and there’s also some culture to explore if you’re so inclined. In other words, it can be the perfect one-stop vacation destination.
As far as spa experiences go, there are countless hotels around that cater to travelers who just want to relax and unwind. These hotels range from large hotel chains to local resorts, so let’s take a look at five of the best spa hotels in the country.

Corinthia Hotel Tripoli

One look at this hotel’s exterior and you’ll understand why it’s so high on our list. The Corinthia Hotel Tripoli looks like something straight out of the Las Vegas Strip—in other words, it’s nothing short of luxurious.
Fortunately, things don’t stop abruptly when you enter the hotel. Whether you are here for business or pleasure, it is one of the most spacious hotels around and has several restaurants offering different cuisines to its guests. For example, those who might like a simple buffet, as well as those who prefer Moroccan, Italian or simply local cuisine, can all be found here.
As far as spa and leisure facilities are concerned, the hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools as well as a gym, makeup salon etc. Also, the hotel staff is one of the friendliest around and the hotel offers all modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, business suites and banks so you really don’t have to leave the hotel.
Al Mahary Radisson Blu Hotel Tripoli

Located in the same area of Tripoli, the Al Mahary Radisson Blu Hotel is in some ways very different from the other hotel we just looked at. After all, it is a hotel chain and, as we all know, Radisson is one of the giants in the hotel industry.
At first glance, this hotel looks like any other Radisson Blu hotel on the market – the famous logo stands vertically next to a huge pillar. As with all Radisson Blu hotels, this sets the stage for an extremely modern hotel, which is a highlight that welcomes visitors.
Not surprisingly, it attracts a large number of business visitors and the fact that it has its own business centre is obviously a big attraction for this market.
Many past visitors rave about Al Mahary’s stunning harbour views, while others consider it one of the most relaxing health and spa hotels nearby.
In short, Al Mahary is a trustworthy establishment, run by a trusted brand, offering a swimming pool and all the other basic amenities you would require from a spa hotel.
Alvardan Hotels

The Al Wadden Hotel is certainly quite different compared to the other hotels reviewed. Its exterior isn’t quite as modern, but its traditional look probably means it caters to a slightly different clientele. In other words, it’s more targeted towards those who want a true Libyan experience. For that matter, and for those interested in history, this is actually the oldest hotel in the country and was once used as a casino.
Although the exterior may look more rustic than other options, don’t be fooled into thinking that Al Waddan is a subpar hotel. On the contrary, the rooms are highly rated, well-equipped and very spacious.
In terms of leisure facilities, the hotel has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and seating, and the gym is always popular with guests, many of whom are surprised by the amount of modern equipment it has.
Four Seasons Hotel

Of all the hotels we have visited so far, this is without a doubt Four Seasons Perhaps the most unique of the lot. It certainly doesn’t have the initial ‘wow factor’ of some of the other suggestions, but for anyone wanting to experience traditional Libya this could be a great opportunity.
The Four Seasons Hotel is housed in a building made mostly of glass and looks very modern at first glance. However, once you step inside the building, everything suddenly becomes rustic. The bedrooms are completely traditional in style, while the lobby area also makes extensive use of wood and almost antique-style furniture.
Due to the size of the hotel, dining facilities are very limited, however there is a cafe nearby which is highly recommended by most guests. In terms of leisure facilities, the swimming pool is located in the basement and is a great place to escape from the busy daily life.
Dar Tellier

Our final hotel recommendation is probably a combination of all the hotels we have reviewed so far. From the outside, Dar Tellile is a combination of modern and traditional, and as a building it is very impressive.
Then, when you walk into the hotel, everything becomes even more impressive. The interior is adorned with marble and is extremely luxurious, and will impress even the most difficult to please guest. The lobby is located in a courtyard, which is a particularly nice design and sets the stage for everything guests will encounter during their stay.
In terms of hotel facilities, Dar Tellile has its own swimming pool and gym. However, most guests prefer to go to the beach, which is just a few steps away at the end of the hotel. In addition, most rooms have their own balcony looking out to the beach – very picturesque.
The rooms are also more than adequate for most guests. All rooms have flat screen TVs and the bathrooms are spacious and well equipped.
