Loeries would like to express its deep respect for communities that may observe religious and cultural rituals during the 2024 Loeries Creative Week.

We know that the Jewish community is observing Yom Kippur, which begins at sundown on Friday, October 11, and ends at sundown on Saturday, October 12. This coincides with the second night of the Loerie Awards and the official Loeries Gala on Friday evening.
Loeries has a deep respect for all of our communities within the brand communications industry. The dates for Loeries Creative Week 2024 were allocated to the organizing committee by our primary venue. Unfortunately, due to no other availability at the venue in Q4 2024, we are unable to change the dates. As soon as we learned that Yom Kippur would fall during Loeries Creative Week, we attempted to change the dates, but despite our best efforts, we were unable to do so.
We are very sorry that some members of our community have had to miss the final night of Loeries Creative Week due to this exceptional situation. Loeries will always do its utmost to ensure that Loeries Creative Week is welcoming to all members of our industry and we are deeply disappointed by this situation.
The Board would like to extend its warmest wishes to the Jewish community in celebrating this holy holiday.
We look forward to seeing as many of our Jewish community members as possible attend this year’s event and future Loeries Creative events, in a shared commitment to celebrating, rewarding, inspiring and nurturing creative excellence in Africa and the Middle East.
Best wishes,
Loris Board of Directors
