Nationals of the following countries are exempt from visa requirements (for tourism and business) for stays up to 90 days, which cannot be extended every 180 days: South Africa, Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Chile, Cyprus, South Korea, Costa Rica, Colombia, Croatia, Denmark, El Salvador, Ecuador, Spain, Estonia, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Morocco, Mexico, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Malta, Paraguay, Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Holy See, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Suriname, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and Uruguay.

Nationals of the following countries are exempt from tourist visas: Andorra, Bahamas, Barbados, Guatemala, Guyana, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Namibia and Panama. However, for business travel, a visa is essential.

Venezuelan nationals do not need a visa for tourist trips of less than 60 days. For business trips, a visa is essential.

For nationals of countries not mentioned, you will need a visa during your travel to Brazil.


Documents required to obtain a visa

Tourist visa (VITUR)

Each request must include:

- 1. Original passport, signed and valid for no more than 6 months from the date of entry into Brazil,

- 1 Completed visa application form,

- 1 recent color ID photo,

- 1. A copy of the residence permit of a foreigner (except EU) residing in France with a validity period of at least 3 months,

- 1. Round-trip air ticket booking (it is recommended that you do not purchase air tickets before obtaining a visa),

- A copy of your last two pay slips, scholarship certificates or any other resource certificates,

- Minors: Copies of both parents’ identification documents (passports or ID cards), a copy of the divorce decree granting custody,

- The original money order should be made payable to the Brazilian Consulate, account number 25.527.20 B – Paris, payable at the Post Office.

Visa Affairs (VITEM II)

Each request must include:

- 1. Original passport, signed and valid for no more than 6 months from the date of entry into Brazil,

- 1 Completed visa application form,

- 1 recent color ID photo,

- 1. A copy of the residence permit of a foreigner (except EU) residing in France with a validity period of at least 3 months,

- 1. Round-trip air ticket booking (it is recommended that you do not purchase air tickets before obtaining a visa),

- 1. A letter from the employer (or Brazilian company) stating the nature, duration and location of the assignment and the payment of living expenses,

- The original money order should be made payable to the Brazilian Consulate in account number 25.527.20 B – Paris and can be paid at the Post Office.
