Two men in their twenties were arrested in an area of Fort-de-France on suspicion of attacking two gendarmes last week.
Two men in their 20s were arrested this week in the Virginia Point area of Frenchburg.
They allegedly rammed two gendarmes during a road check near the Petite-Cocotte roundabout in Ducos last week.
During their arrest they offered no resistance; it must be said that the gendarmerie deployed significant resources with the help of the intervention team.
Once they are in police custody, they will be handed over to the Fort-de-France prosecutor’s office with a view to being prosecuted.
As for the two injured gendarmes, their health is improving, although the two soldiers, aged 54 and 42, are still on leave.
