The Voice of the Voiceless (VSV) welcomes the measures taken by the Governor of Kinshasa, Mr. Daniel Bumba, to monitor demonstrators during a reception for his political opponent, Martin Fayulu Madidi, and during the National Cohesion Conference. Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Kinshasa.
In fact, activists from the Citizens and Development Commitment Organization (Ecidé) and LAMUKA will welcome their leader at the Ndjili International Airport and then accompany him to the Mambunga fields in the Ndjili commune, where he will hold a meeting.
His political rivals returned from the United States and he went to attend the Democratic Convention.
VSV encourages the provincial authorities to respect the right to demonstrate guaranteed by the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and invites them to continue to consolidate democracy and respect the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all Congolese and all Congolese people.
VSV also invites activists and supporters of Ecidé and LAMUKA to act with dignity as good citizens and avoid all kinds of excesses and violence during these two demonstrations.
As for the elements of the security services, the VSV invites them to carry out their mission with professionalism, with the sole objective of providing good supervision of the demonstrators from beginning to end, tailored to the specific circumstances.
