As Catholics believe, it is the end of her life dedicated to God, the pinnacle and goal of every human existence.

Pope Pius XII proclaimed the dogma of the Assumption of Mary on November 1, 1950, but before the official announcement there was a tradition of celebration as old as Christianity itself.

On the Feast of the Assumption, the faithful celebrate and make pilgrimages to numerous Marian shrines in many countries, mainly in Europe and South America.

Catholics recognize the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary, in images from the Old and New Testaments. In the Old Testament, at the beginning of the Bible, when Adam and Eve fell into distrust of God and sinned, God raised the sign of the corrupt woman in opposition to the serpent, a symbol of evil and the devil, and she became the fruit of her belly and stepped on the serpent’s head.

On the other hand, the New Testament reveals in the last book of the Bible, Revelation, the great and terrible sign of the dragon, and the opposite of it is the sign of the virgin, which symbolizes gentleness and love, kindness and beauty. . A pregnant woman is pregnant, she is the bearer of life, she brings hope for the future.
