The municipalities of Gros-Morne and Case-Pilote were affected by severe weather between April 17 and 18, 2013 and were declared in a state of natural disaster by ministerial order.

Disaster victims who hold insurance policies to insure their properties against fire or any other damage can benefit from natural disaster insurance.

The insured has 10 days to report to his company the direct material damage to buildings, goods, equipment and even furniture.
