The San Marino passport is constantly increasing in popularity. Thanks to the work done in the last twelve months by the relevant ministries (politics, international relations and diplomacy), the document has achieved an upward movement in the world ranking “Passport Index” drawn up by Arton Capital, compared to last year. The “weight” of the Titanic passport (also a current topic due to the upcoming summer vacation) has risen by two places in the “individual” ranking (from 48th to 46th), although it has slightly dropped by one in the “global” ranking (from 13th to 16th) and has expanded the list of “visible” countries (from 156 in 2023 to 160 in 2024; of these 160 countries, 109 can be reached without a visa, 51 can be entered with a Cistus on arrival and 38 can be entered with a Cistus on arrival) We remind you that in 2023 there are 107 countries that do not require a visa, 49 of which require a visa on arrival and 42 require a visa before departure.
World Ranking
According to Arton Capital, the world’s most powerful passports in 2024 are ranked as follows:
1 – United Arab Emirates (180 destinations);
2 – Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands (178 destinations);
3 – Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland (177 destinations);
4 – Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Ireland (176 destinations);
5 – Greece, Norway, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Hungary, South Korea (175 destinations);
6 – Singapore, Japan, Slovakia, United States, New Zealand (174 destinations);
7 – Malta, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Canada, Australia (173 destinations);
8 – Latvia, Iceland, Croatia, Liechtenstein (172 destinations);
9 – Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria (171 destinations);
10 – Malaysia, Monaco (169 destinations).
Mount Titano Passport
For traveling within the EU, the ID card is sufficient. For those who need a passport, the Titan “behaves” like those of other countries. Aesthetically, it is very similar to the Italian passport, except that the cover color is blue. In the center there is the coat of arms of San Marino and the words “Repubblica di San Marino” and “Passport”. For biometric passports (issued since 2006), the biometric logo is also present. The standards used are those of EU passports. In the San Marino passport, the identity information of the holder is on the second cover page, with a photo and an electronically readable part. Additional identity information can be found on page 2, while on page 3 there is space to attach any children to the passport. Page 4 is dedicated to the issuing authority and bears the stamp and signature of the authority that issued the passport.
