Population Screening will be holding an open day for breast and cervical cancer screening at Fundashon Mariadal on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Are you between 30 and 75 years old and have not yet participated in population screening? Do you have questions or concerns? Then come to our open day at Fundashon Mariadal.
Our healthcare professionals are available between 8:00am and 2:00pm and will be happy to talk to you about screening, the health benefits, the importance of getting involved and the screening process. Women aged between 50 and 75 can have a mammogram immediately or book an appointment. Women aged between 30 and 60 can also choose to have a Pap smear appointment at their GP’s office.
Population screening for breast cancer will start in May 2021 for women aged 50 to 75. Population screening for cervical cancer will start in November 2022 for women aged 30 to 60. In recent years, about 3,000 women have participated in the screening.
