Clashes between municipal officials recurred this Wednesday in the department’s municipalities, but a negotiation meeting is planned for this morning.
A delegation of the CGTM-SOEM trade union will meet with the Association of Mayors of Martinique at 11 am this Wednesday at its headquarters in Etang-Z’abricot.
The union’s “last chance” meeting was aimed at expressing its demands regarding the payment of bonuses within the framework of the agent tenure and remuneration plan.
On Tuesday, new disruptions to multiple municipal services were reported in the central and southern parts of the island.
Canteens, daycare centres and administrative services at several councils are expected to be disrupted again on Wednesday.
