The Place d’Armes primary school in Lamentin, which was closed due to vandalism, will reopen to pupils on Monday.

Mixed primary school D is still closed to pupils and will in principle open from Monday.

This week, the store was hit with a fairly rare act of vandalism: ink cartridges were spilled in multiple locations throughout the store.

The consequences were evident as two sick teachers and a student were under the care of emergency services, who like other students complained of particular headaches.

The mayor of Lamentin, Pierre Samot, condemned the action through a complaint and launched an investigation.

Cleaning operations are underway to welcome the school community starting this Monday.
