Abstract
The work consists of a series of creation myths in a style similar to the Genesis, the first part of Eduardo Galeano’s Memory of Fire trilogy. The myths delve into the origins of freckles, wrinkles, laughter, and tears. Each story uses symbolism, personification, and a fragmented, non-linear timeline reminiscent of Galeano’s work. Through poetic language and metaphor, the myths explore themes of love, loss, gender roles, cultural diversity, and solidarity. Analysis reveals the stylistic choices that inform Galeano’s work. Themes run throughout the myths, depicting common human experiences across cultures while highlighting the enduring nature of storytelling.
