The South African Department of Business and the Arts (Basa) will be working with IDC Gallery to present ‘Different Pathways’, a fascinating group exhibition that celebrates the richness of diversity and the uniqueness of individual journeys.
The exhibition series, open from June 22 to July 19, 2024, features the work of a number of talented artists, each exploring their personal experiences and unique journeys as creative individuals.
“Different Paths” brings together a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, photography and mixed media works, each telling a unique story. The exhibition highlights the beauty of different paths and the richness of embracing alternative routes. It invites viewers to reflect on their journeys and appreciate the uniqueness of each person’s experience.
The exhibition continues the collaboration between the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the Business and Arts Association of South Africa (Basa), providing an important platform for emerging artists to showcase their work. The partnership promotes events and activities aimed at providing creatives with wider market opportunities. The partnership fits perfectly with Basa’s strategy to strengthen existing partnerships within the organization to create opportunities for entrepreneurs in the creative economy. Through this exhibition, the IDC Gallery also contributes to social and economic development projects, focusing on youth, women and people with disabilities.
