EXPYLAB – Paraguayan Immersive Experience Lab has launched its fourth open call for artists and technologists, which will run from August 7 to September 27, 2024.
Since its creation in 2021, this initiative combining art and technology has become a space for collaboration and creativity, promoting projects that explore new immersive technologies such as virtual, augmented and extended reality.

Located at the Alliance Française in Asuncion, the lab offers selected participants the opportunity to develop a project over three weeks intensively under the guidance of international and local experts. The call is open to Paraguayans and residents of Paraguay and includes artists and creative technologists from different disciplines.
EXPYLAB has been recognized for its impact, having been selected by Meta & BidLab in 2023 as one of ten communities in Latin America and the Caribbean leveraging virtual and augmented reality for social and economic impact.

In this edition, the Lab introduces a new approach focused on collective storytelling. In the first week, participants will receive theoretical and practical training and will begin to define the projects they will develop in the following weeks. At the end of the project, they will present their work to a jury at a pitch event to compete for various prizes, including international trips, internships and scholarships.
EXPYLAB 2024 is organized by EXPY EAS in partnership with the French Alliance Asuncion and supported by several institutions and companies, including the French Embassy in Paraguay, the Itaú Foundation and the German Paraguayan Cultural Institute. Applications can be made through the laboratory’s official website, www.expy.com.py.
