It’s a time to reflect on our shared journey and the daunting obstacles women face every day, from domestic violence to workplace discrimination and more. It’s a day to honor the strength of those who paved the way and to call on us to continue the fight for equality.

Q: Can you share a bit about your personal experience and how it has impacted your perspective on resilience?

Hlengiwe Mbambo: My journey from battling cancer to becoming an award-winning business owner has been one of resilience. Beating cancer was one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever faced, but it has also strengthened my resolve and made me value perseverance even more. Winning the 2024 Best Emerging Digital PR Award is a testament not only to my personal success, but also to the greater potential of women around the world to achieve great things despite adversity.

Q: What role does your team, the #OriginalNerds, play in your success?
