As is known, the Public Service and Energy Regulatory Authority has authorized service companies (AASS) to submit offers for electricity and gas supply services at fixed rates. In doing so, he explained that “the choice between indexed (standard) tariffs and fixed tariffs for users, although integrated in other countries, is a novelty in the San Marino tariff structure. The aim is to increase the range of choices for end users, but in order for this choice to be considered conscious, users themselves must be supported in making the most appropriate choice for their specific circumstances. For these reasons, AASS is advised to provide the necessary transparency and clarity in the publication of the offer, while the necessary disclosures must be made”.
It is in this sense that AASS now duly informs that “these offers, aimed at domestic and non-domestic users, propose an alternative to the current indexed tariff. This initiative is part of AASS’s efforts to ensure that consumers have the possibility to choose the most suitable tariff plan and that the introduction of tariffs is not influenced by market trends”. Specifically, “the offers can be joined between July 16 and 30, 2024, and will be valid from September 1, 2024 to August 30, 2025. Users with a valid contract will be able to join by filling in the appropriate form provided in the “Prices” section of the website www.aass.sm. The completed form can be delivered directly to the AASS headquarters in Via Andrea di Superchio, 16 Cailungo, or sent by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt or tNotice. The choice to switch to a fixed rate is not mandatory. Users can choose to keep the indexed rate without taking any action, or join the new fixed rate offer through the methods described above.
