Brkic co-founded the company with current CEO Styli Charalambous Daily Maverick In 2009.

Jillian Green will serve as editor-in-chief.

The publication announced the move on its online website version.

It states:

In a long-awaited move, Daily Maverick The editorial team will soon have new guidance. Although Branko is giving up his day job, he will still be involved in other aspects of the editorial team. Daily Maverick Media company.
