State Secretary for Justice and Security Eric van der Burg will make a working visit to Bonaire, St. Kitts, St. Eustatius, Saba and Sint Maarten. He will be in the Caribbean from the 4thday to 8day June.

Van der Berg will open a new immigration detention building at the Dutch Caribbean Justice Agency in Bonaire. He will discuss it with the Bonaire Executive Committee.
From St. Kitts, Van der Burgh will continue his working visit to the Windward Islands. The Secretary of State will visit Sint Eustatius to witness first-hand the border checks for people travelling to the island. Van der Burgh will hold talks with the heads of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Social Affairs and Employment Departments. He will also hold talks with Governor Alida Francis and other members of the Sint Eustatius Executive Council.
A bilateral meeting is planned with Saba Governor Jonathan Johnson. A meeting will also take place between the State Secretary and the Saba Executive Committee. The State Secretary will return to the Netherlands via Sint Maarten, concluding his working visit.
