President Ramkalawan holds farewell meeting with outgoing Managing Director of Seychelles MCB – News – Seychelles State House

President Wavel Ramkalawan welcomed outgoing MCB Seychelles Managing Director, Mr Bernard Jackson, to Malacañang this morning. Accompanying Mr Jackson was a senior MCB delegation including Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Jean Michel Ng Tseung, incoming MCB Seychelles Managing Director, Mr Desire Leo, Head of Commercial Banking, Mr Dominic Provencal and Marketing and Communications Manager, Ms Elaine Derjacques.

Mr Jackson has been a banking professional with the MCB Group since 1999, starting his career as an analyst in the Strategy, Research and Development department and progressing to a management position in 2005. In early 2008, he moved from Mauritius to MCB Seychelles as Head of Finance and in 2015 he was promoted to Managing Director.

President Ramkalawan began by expressing his gratitude and appreciation to Mr Jackson for his tireless service to Seychelles over the years. As Patron of the Seychelles Island Foundation (SIF), the President also thanked Mr Jackson for his contributions as a member of the SIF Board of Directors.

The courtesy visit also provided an opportunity for the MCB management to formally introduce Mr. Leo as the new Managing Director of MCB Seychelles. Discussions focused on how to enhance the bank’s services and products to better serve the people.

After the meeting, MCB Group CEO, Mr. Ng Tseung, addressed the media and thanked President Ramkalawan for his valuable advice and insights. He reiterated that MCB will be committed to improving its service level and exploring more ways to make positive contributions to Seychelles society.
