The 33rd Art in the Church exhibition will take place on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 3 pm at the Church of Saint-Adrien. This season, artist Laurent Mareschal was inspired by Sei Shonagan, a maid of the Japanese Empress Sadako in the 10th century, who wrote a book called “Bedside Notes”. She wrote wherever she went and was an expert in lists. One in particular made Laurent Mareschal want to create this work: a list of things that make the heart beat. In addition, he recorded the testimonies of twelve people from all ages and socio-cultural backgrounds who tell what motivates them.
The church will be open from Friday, July 5th to Saturday, August 31st from 2:00pm to 7:00pm daily (except Tuesdays).
