As a precautionary measure, the Netherlands Embassy in Tehran and the Consulate General in Erbil will remain closed to the public until further notice. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs made this decision in response to the growing tensions between Iran and Israel.

Those who have appointments have been notified or will be notified soon and their appointments will be rescheduled. This will mainly affect people who wish to apply for a visa to the Netherlands. At this time, the temporary closure does not affect VFS Global’s services in Tehran and Erbil. Any updated information can be found at www.vfsglobal.com.

Diplomatic missions in Tehran and Erbil will continue to perform other duties as much as possible, with the safety of staff as the top priority. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not comment on security-related measures. If you need urgent assistance from the Embassy or Consulate General, please call +31 247 247 247.
