Malaysia says it will hand over Kim Jong-nam’s body to North Korea – Xinhua News Agency

Xinhua News Agency, Kuala Lumpur, March 30 (Reporter Chen Cong) Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak issued a statement on the 30th saying that following the release of 9 Malaysian citizens stranded in North Korea, Malaysia will return Kim Jong-nam’s body to North Korea and allow its citizens to leave North Korea.

Najib said the coroner approved the return of the body only after completing the autopsy and receiving a letter from Kim Jong-un’s family requesting the return of the body to North Korea.

Najib said that for the nine Malaysian citizens, all diplomats, and their families, their flight took off from Pyongyang at 7.45pm on Thursday and would arrive in Kuala Lumpur around 5am on Friday.
