Cossato renews trade challenge

The traders’ “White Night” returns to Cossato. The Cossatoshop association presents the next steps in the revitalization of the city. The first event, called “Street Business”, is scheduled for Sunday, May 8, in collaboration with the Cossato market. The Mazzini and Martiri della Libertà streets will be closed to traffic so that Biella street vendors can set up their stalls, shop owners can display their products outside, and bartenders and restaurateurs can bring tables and chairs to the street for breakfast, lunch or aperitifs. The main street will thus be transformed throughout the day into an open-air lounge where you can shop, meet and taste good food. “This year, Notte Bianca will return”, says Franco Basone, president of Cossatoshop. The event will take place on June 25, also in the streets of the city center. We are finalizing the details, but we already know that there will be an Argentinian barbecue as well as country and Latin American dances. ” The summer and autumn season in Cossato is characterized by many other events organized by various associations and entities, as well as by the municipality and the Cossatoshop. The website of the Cossato Municipal District (www.cossatoduc.it) will soon become the reference point to find the calendar of all the scheduled events.

The website is already live and currently includes the VII Quad Ride for the Biella area, a national gathering that will take place on Sunday, May 1st, with a meeting in Piazza Rossa at 7:30, organized by «Tutto il Biellese in cross», and the Harley-Davidson gathering organized by Bear Crew from June 24th to 26th. «Then in July, on the first Sunday of the month, the Crocetta market will return – announced the city councillor Sonia Borin. In the autumn, however, in mid-October, we organize an event related to wine in collaboration with local wineries. On Saturday there will be a themed dinner in the city with a show and on Sunday there will be a presentation of the grape harvest in the Castellengo Castle. Finally, to celebrate Halloween, on Sunday, October 30th there will be a treasure hunt for children in the castle, while on Monday, October 31st, the Cossato bar will offer a “scary” aperitif.
