One of the recommendations issued in recent days is to limit physical labor to between 4 and 7 in the morning. However, this is only a recommendation, and no one can order employers to fire workers if they do not want to. About a month ago, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy issued a recommendation telling employers to consider the possibility of suspending outdoor work between 12:00 and 17:00 and continuing it after 17:00.
– If the employer’s work process is not organized in such a way that this measure cannot be implemented, workers working outdoors are recommended to start work at 6 a.m. It is also recommended that employers allow workers with chronic diseases to use their annual leave in the above-mentioned weather conditions and use absences in accordance with the law, collective agreement or work regulations, the report states.
But perhaps these recommendations will “fall into the water”, because according to the new forecasts we have to wait until July 24 before the temperature drops seriously, and from today begins a period of instability, in fact it will remain hot and if it rains it will also feel hot. This is what the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute says.
– Today the weather will be sunny, with moderate increase in cloud cover during the day. Showers with thunder are expected in the afternoon and at night, which may be more pronounced in local areas. The wind is weak and from the southwest in Herzegovina, and from the north and northeast in the rest of the country. Morning temperatures will range from 19°C to 25°C, reaching 28°C in the south, and from 28°C to 34°C during the day, and 40°C in the south. On Saturday, the weather will be moderately to mostly cloudy in Bosnia, and sunny in Herzegovina with light to moderate cloud cover. Rainfall and isolated showers with thunder are expected in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There will be southwesterly winds in Herzegovina, and from the north in the rest of the country. Morning temperatures will range from 19°C to 25°C, 28°C in the south, and from 27°C to 33°C during the day, and 40°C in the south. On Sunday, the weather should clear up after the morning. On Monday afternoon, isolated showers are expected in Herzegovina and southwestern Bosnia. The daily temperatures announced on Sunday and Monday are from 34 to 37 degrees. And according to this, it should last until the middle of next week.

Amateur meteorologist Marko Čubrilo said that around July 24, as the cooling becomes more pronounced, there could be a few days of below-average temperatures, giving many people hope that the unbearable hot weather is coming to an end.
The medium-term EXMWF model simulations from around July 24 to August 7 simulate more unstable weather, so no heatwave is expected for that period. Many would say that now is the time, as this heatwave is already one of the record holders in terms of duration, and every day of above-average heat only makes it worse. Localized showers and thunderstorms are expected during this period, and the danger of supercell storms reappears as the new situation may be very favorable for them.
As a reminder, supercell storms form when a cold air mass reaches a superheated ground level, causing extreme thermal instability in the atmosphere. What makes them unique from all other types of storms is that they have powerful, persistent updrafts that rotate within the clouds, according to the National Weather Service. Scientists call this rotation a mesocyclone.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), updrafts can reach speeds of more than 100 miles per hour and can cause hail and tornadoes. Let’s hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina at least doesn’t suffer such a disaster.
