It is very common that personal projects end up being more important than professional ones. In fact, many times (if done correctly) they end up being opportunities for both our professional and personal growth at the same time. I created this blog precisely to grow in all the senses of my life. To do this, it is essential to be completely transparent with potential readers and make clear what the goals of this space are, as well as the topics that will be discussed and the tendencies that can be discovered.

In a world of information, complete objectivity is impossible, but paradoxical as it may sound, it is also necessary. We must approach information as unbiased as possible so that everyone, regardless of ideology or focus, can come to the same conclusions.

That said, there are those who spend a great deal of time learning about situations, curious people like me who seek the truth and try to absorb each event by comparing sources and, if possible, going to the scene of the event. On the other hand, there are those who only like to learn about one area of news, such as sports, while others don’t “waste time” watching the news at all.

I want to attract a wide variety of people through this blog, especially those who do not spend much time getting information. In order to welcome this space, I think it is necessary to express the points that will be discussed and the different goals it aims to achieve based on these three pillars:

  • First, we want to create a trusted place for journalists to visit and get direct, reliable, objective information.
  • Apart from that, we want to give this blog a pleasant tone. In this way, we will try to make it attractive through articles that are simple, can be read quickly and encourage everyone to be informed.
  • Finally, we want to focus on Paraguay, although we will cover all areas of information within our country. We believe that news that affects the national football team is as important as new regulations that affect the citizens of the capital.

Many people may wonder, why are the goals written in plural? The reason is simple. Although I manage the blog, write news and various tasks, the idea was carried out by my sister and me. In addition to her, several friends showed interest in the project, were interested in lending a hand by sharing news with me, and agreed on the pillars of the blog.

Digital News, Contemporary News

Finally, I want to share a concept that really encouraged me to embark on this digital adventure. Recently it was said that digital journalism is the future, but today it is already a reality. In this video produced by the European University of Madrid, Spain, this concept is explored in depth in a very dynamic and interesting way.

From our national perspective, it is time to modernize our approach. Over the past decade, Paraguay has experienced strong economic growth, averaging 5% per year, but annual fluctuations stem mainly from the impact of meteorological phenomena on its agricultural sector. Electric energy, as well as soybean and livestock production, are the main economic activities.

The country’s priorities are being achieved thanks to the digitalization of classrooms and constant news coverage of society. The multi-year indicative plan seeks to cover the most important areas of progress:

  • Education: It is necessary to guarantee access to and quality improvement, efficiency and equity in education in Paraguay as a public good for all children and adolescents.
  • Private sector development: Supporting sustainable and inclusive growth by improving the investment climate and enhancing competitiveness.
  • Social protection: This reduces extreme poverty.
  • Democracy, participation and institutional strengthening: Every country today should support democracy and credible elections in accordance with national legislation.
