Zita Pataki shared the news on social media that she had undergone another skin tumor surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma. This skin tumor is partially malignant, which means it grows slowly and rarely metastasizes.
“My minor surgery is over and the stitches will be removed tomorrow. Another basal tumor,” Zita Pataki wrote on Instagram, where she also shared a photo.
Zita Pataki also talks about prevention: “I don’t sunbathe, and if I’m outside for more than 20 minutes, I wear sunscreen on my body and/or wear clothes that cover my shoulders. I apply a mineral professional sunscreen with 50 protection on my face every day and see a dermatologist every six months.”
He added that the amount and quality of sunlight that hits the skin over the years, especially UV B rays, plays a role in the development of skin tumors.
