Next Friday, September 6, the stand-up comedy “Desperate 30-year-old woman, searching”, starring the famous Paraguayan actress Antonella Zaldívar, will premiere at the Arlequín Theater in Asuncion. Directed by Alicia Guerra, the play promises to immerse the audience in a theatrical experience full of humor and reflection on the life of women in the 1930s.

Antonella Zaldívar, famous for her roles in striptease and the film Deesperamente Sara, conquers the public once again with her interpretation of Mara, a separated woman with a successful career but facing challenges and difficulties at the age of 30. In this new arena, Mara decides to start therapy, and the plot of the play unfolds during her first session. With her characteristic acerbic gaze and her ability to combine comedy with reflection, Zaldívar takes us to explore the complex world of women at this stage of life.

Written by Mariel Rosciano, this work explores the question many women ask themselves when they reach this age: What is a 30-year-old woman looking for? While Mara doesn’t know all the answers, she is sure of one thing: what she seeks, she will desperately do. For 50 minutes, the audience will accompany this verbose, neurotic, obsessive protagonist on a hilarious and deeply human journey, in which they will try to uncover what has led her to the therapist’s chair.

“30-year-old Desperate Woman, Searching” is a co-production of La Taza de Café and Elecè Producciones and will be performed on Friday evenings at 9:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available through the Tuti platform and the theater box office for Gs. 75,000.
