“The Ministry of Internal Affairs is not a spoon in their mouths” – this is how Interior Minister Karin Stoyanov responded to criticism from PP-DB deputies that early parliamentary elections would not be fair if he continues to serve in the next caretaker government:
“A few months after the election, very interesting claims were made again. Then, six months later, it became clear that they were somewhat dissatisfied and made some claims about the integrity of the vote, because we had extremely high praise from people in Europe who were there, singing old songs with new voices”.
When asked if he would continue to serve in the next cabinet, Stoyanov said he was ready to finish the work he started:
“President Radev has not yet decided who will be the future caretaker prime minister. However, I have told him many times that I am ready to finish what I have started and what I know is at risk”.
