St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): St. Kitts has made history as two brothers were selected for the West Indies squad two weeks apart and made their debuts in the same tour.

While celebrating Mikael Lewis’ success, the cheers from the Kititi people got louder because his elder brother Jeremiah Lewis was also selected for the West Indies team.

The Lewis brothers will be looking to make their mark on the international stage when they tour England with the West Indies Test team in July.

The Louis brothers are the first two male players from St. Kitts to successfully travel to the West Indies to compete. They are also the 8th and 9th male players selected by the St. Kitts and Nevis Federation to be selected for the team, and they are also the first pair of brothers in the federation to receive this honor.

Jeremiah Louis will replace injured bowler Kemar Roach.

St. Kitts Sports Minister Samar Duggins congratulated Jeremiah on his achievement and pledged the nation’s support for the brothers.

“Jeremiah, your hard work, dedication and exceptional talent have paid off. You have made St. Kitts and Nevis extremely proud and your achievements are an inspiration to all the young athletes in our Federation. We are all cheering you and Mikael on as you both embark on this incredible journey. Your success is a testament to the potential of our young athletes. Wish you the best of luck in England and know that the whole country is behind you. Give it your all and make us proud!”

Mikyle Louis, 23, and Jeremiah Louis, 28, both represent the Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
