Commanderie de Peyrassol celebrates the friendship between its owner and visual artist Bertrand Lavier through an unprecedented collaboration.

Bertrand Lavier, a trained horticulturist, could not have found a more beautiful setting to display his work than the Commandery, an estate and open-air museum that has a great reputation in the French and international art world.

But this time, the project has a more emotional counterpart for Philippe Austry: “I have long dreamed of hosting an exhibition of Bertrand Lavier at the Commanderie de Peyrasole. As I have been talking to him for years about this wonderful abandoned princess, it is close to a piece of land that bears his name, and he finally set his sights on it. It took a while for this exhibition to come to life, and I am delighted to see it come to life.The work features the silhouette of a car from another era, sans headlights or wheels, repainted in an anachronistic metallic blue reminiscent of a race car.
