New research suggests that consuming spicy food can have a negative impact on a man’s “performance” in the bedroom. According to the Daily Mail, a study found that men who eat spicy food three or more times a week are almost three times more likely to experience erectile problems.

Researchers from the Department of Urology at South China University said the study showed that regular consumption of spicy food may increase the risk of erectile dysfunction, especially for middle-aged men who do not smoke.

The more spicy food you eat, the greater your chances of erectile dysfunction. It is estimated that more than half of men aged 40 to 70 suffer from some form of erectile dysfunction, and the causes can be varied.
