The world-famous pistachio of Bronte came to Sicily from ancient Persia. In and around the settlement of Bronte, she found the perfect place to grow. The variety grown and processed there has special characteristics that distinguish it from all other varieties, even those grown in the same area. In fact, experts claim that the Etna variety is the only one in Italy that produces “real pistachios”.
