Roadworks on the A1 motorway caused traffic jams during rush hour.

All road users travelling along the A1 from Trier to Luxembourg City need to be patient.

Roadworks have been underway on the Mansbach Viaduct since Friday evening.

The National Roads Authority is installing seals on the track leading to Luxembourg City.

As a result, vehicles were diverted to the opposite lane, leaving only one lane open in each direction with a speed limit of 50 km/h. This naturally led to traffic disruptions and congestion of several kilometers during peak hours.

In addition, the road is closed at the Mansbach exit towards Luxembourg City. Route diversions have been implemented.

The project is expected to end at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 22.
