On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the Richfond Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that occurred at La Ressource in Dennery, leaving two men dead.
At the scene, investigators found the body of a male victim with obvious signs of gunshot wounds. Crews from the St. Lucia Fire Department responded to the scene and treated both victims. However, the victim was later pronounced dead by a doctor at the scene. He was identified as Ernest William, 22, of Belle Vue, Vieux Fort.
Another victim was 39-year-old Angus Jeffery from Bellevue, Vieux Fort, who also suffered serious gunshot wounds. He was taken to Owen King EU (OKEU) Hospital for further treatment and is currently in critical condition. Angus Jeffery died on Sunday, July 28, 2024, and a doctor pronounced him dead.
The Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is responsible for these investigations.
