Investigation launched into Mornet-Dudong murder case
At approximately 7:30am on Friday, August 30, Castries Criminal Investigations received reports of a shooting at Forgotten Boundaries in Morne Du Don, Castries, which resulted in the fatal injury of a female.
Castries Central Police Station and the Criminal Investigation Department responded to the incident where officers found a female with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The Saint Lucia Fire Service rendered assistance to the victim and transported her to Owen King EU Hospital (OKEU) for further treatment.
The victim later succumbed to her injuries and was confirmed dead by doctors. The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Jeannelle Didier, also known as “Janique”, of Pavee Road, Castries.
