However, due to their color and large size, they can easily be confused with locusts. Thus, the giant grasshopper can reach eight centimeters in length. This locust, called “steppe rack”, is considered the largest locust in the country. And it is quite rare and is included in the Russian Red Book. It is safe for humans and feeds on mares, beetles, bugs and mantises.
Earlier it was reported that Indian giant squirrels were born in the Limpopo Zoo – they are the only animals in Russia that can be seen only in Nizhny Novgorod. Giant squirrels have many behavioral characteristics: they are cautious, so the birth of the first child can be considered a victory.
