Penna resigned from Patria Querida on April 29, arguing that there were “differences” and that continuing on “different paths” was “best for both parties.”
His party accused him of playing a role in the government of the day, while Penna accused his party and opposition leadership of not supporting his bill.
He also denied several times that he would join the Colorado Party, which finally happened on Friday, July 5, more than two months after he made his statement.
