Parliamentary cooperation: President of the Mali All-Union arrives in Ouagadougou

Malick Diao, President of the National Transitional Council (CNT) of Mali, led a delegation of Malian parliamentarians to arrive in Ouagadougou on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, for a 72-hour official visit.

Malick Diaw was accompanied by his Burkinabe counterpart, Dr. Ousmane Buguma, and members of his office when he stepped off the plane.

This official visit provides an opportunity for the two brotherly parliaments to strengthen their cooperation framework to address current priorities, in particular the prospect of establishing a conference of the Federation of Parliaments of the Member States of the Alliance of States of the Sahel (AES).

The President of the Mali All-Union will attend the plenary session on Thursday, July 25, 2024, when he will address the people of Burkina Faso through his national representative.

In addition, during this visit, the President of the Malian Parliament will also host the graduation ceremony of the 12th primary training promotion for firefighters at the Civil Defense Higher Institute.
