In an evening full of glamour and glamour, with performances by various artists and delicious food, the highlight of the evening was the ontbytSAKE Business of the Year Award 2024! The event was attended by around 300 guests, including representatives of the award finalists – businesses that are part of the ontbytSAKE programme, celebrities and the public.

Prizes were awarded in each category, and a total of about 80 works were shortlisted for the finals in all categories. These works were judged by experts and voted by the audience.

The partnership between the professional exhibition and ontbytSAKE began with a conversation at one of its flagship exhibitions, Propak Africa, in March 2022. Electra Mining Africa, also a flagship exhibition, debuted at ontbytSAKE in September 2022. Since then, the partnership has expanded to include other events, including Propak Cape 2023, as well as a full ontbytSAKE programme dedicated to Securex, A-OSH, Firexpo and Facility Management Expo this year, and a full dedicated programme for Electra Mining Africa later this year.
Raymond Le Grange, Project Manager at ontbytSAKE, who initiated the first dialogue in March 2022, says he is proud of ontbytSAKE’s collaboration with the trade fairs and the way the relationship has developed, which has grown to include a full programme of features. “We want to continue to have a good relationship with the trade fairs and play a role in this process, driving the development of the various events they organise, while also increasing the exposure of our exhibitors.”
