A tourist bus in Bulgaria was involved in a traffic accident on the Sofia-Varna highway, killing at least nine people and injuring 19 others to varying degrees.
The accident reportedly occurred near the city of Lovech.
Bulgarian Health Minister Kirill Ananiev said the condition of the injured was worrying – a medical team from the Military Medical Academy quickly arrived to help local doctors, writing TASS.
It is now understood that there were visually impaired residents of Pernik on the bus, who were returning home after a trip.
Police said that according to preliminary data, the bus entered the oncoming lane and collided with a truck.
