On Friday afternoon, a two-year-old child was urgently transferred to KBC Zagreb after a serious traffic accident on the A3 motorway. According to KBC Zagreb, the child is not in danger of life and is in stable condition. Let us remind you that at around 3:00 pm, the police received a report of a traffic accident on the A3 motorway between Okujan and Novska involving a truck and a car. The accident caused two deaths, and the child was taken to the hospital in Novigrad, from where he was urgently transferred to KBC Zagreb.
KBC Zagreb confirmed to us that the child has arrived with them. As they said, it is in the pediatric intensive care unit. Even though the injuries are serious, according to the doctors, the child is in stable condition. The director of the Novigrad hospital confirmed to us earlier that the child has severe injuries to multiple organ systems.
The Sisak County State Attorney’s Office, in cooperation with the Sisak-Moslavina police, investigated the traffic accident.
– According to the data collected so far, the traffic accident occurred when the driver of a passenger car (Croatian citizen, 2000) while driving in the direction of Novska, hit the rear of a truck in front of him driving in the same direction, during which he and the female passenger (2003) died at the scene of the accident, according to DORH, while the two-year-old child was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with serious physical injuries. They ordered the necessary investigation and evidence collection actions.
