Kathmandu, August 16. Nepal will play its first match of the 2024 SAFF U-17 Championship in Bhutan from September 20 to 30 against Pakistan.
According to the schedule released by the South Asian Football Confederation on Sunday, Nepal in Group B will play its first match against Pakistan on September 21.
Hosts Bhutan and Sri Lanka are in the group with Nepal and Pakistan. Group A includes defending champions India, Maldives and Bangladesh.
All seven South Asian countries participated in the competition, and the seven teams were divided into two groups.
Nepal will play its second match against Sri Lanka on September 23 and its final group match against Bhutan on September 25.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The final will be held on September 30.
Nepal was eliminated in the group stage at last year’s SAFF U17 Championship in Bhutan.
