Democratic Senator Jon Tester, who represents Montana in the U.S. upper chamber, yesterday urged President Joe Biden, 81, to withdraw from the Nov. 5 re-election campaign.
“I worked with President Biden as he made Montana stronger, and I was never afraid to tell him when he was wrong,” Tester said. “While I appreciate his commitment to serving our state, I do not believe President Biden should seek reelection,” he added.
Jon Tester is the second Senate Democrat to publicly call for the head of state to step down, along with about two dozen House members who belong to that faction.
