One year and four months after Kacey Jason Montoute suffered a fatal gunshot wound, police have arrested a person of interest in the incident.
The incident occurred at Fond Assau in Babono and the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) Crime Squad is investigating.
The department, with the support of the Barbono Police Department and the Crime Scene Office, conducted a thorough investigation and arrested a suspect, identified as Gunna Maximin, 40, of Tarwin, Barbono, also known as “Genry.”
On Friday, July 5, 2024, Major Crimes detectives formally cautioned and charged Gunna Maximin with causing the death of Kacey Montoute. He was remanded to the Magistrates Court where he made an application for bail. Following the application, Gunna Maximin was remanded to Bordeaux Prison.
