The Cabinet Office minister said the worldwide IT outage only affected government services provided by other agencies.
Juan Watterson, MHK, Rashawn, asked Kate Lord-Brennan a written response question regarding the recent Crowdstrike outage, which crippled systems around the world and is believed to be the largest incident of its kind ever.
Ms Brennan said the July blackout did not affect government-provided services, but external suppliers were affected.
Many nursing services on the Isle of Man have also been disrupted due to the problem.
