Istanbul Airport was awarded the “Best Airport in Europe” award by ACI Europe in the category of airports serving more than 40 million passengers.
According to a statement released by Istanbul Airport Management Company IGA, the award was presented by ACI Europe CEO Oliver Yacovets to IGA senior executive Selahattin Bilgen at the 34th Annual Conference of Airports Council International Europe in Istanbul.
Istanbul Airport shared the award with Rome Fiumicino Airport, which scored similarly and also ranked first last year.
IGA Senior Director Selahattin Bilgen expressed his delight that Istanbul Airport has once again received this honor.
Bilgen said the award will serve as a source of inspiration for them to continue their pursuit of excellence.
