Gold and the stock market made money this week through investment vehicles.
The BIST 100 index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange closed at 10,851.78 points this week, up 1.91%. The index’s lowest point this week was 10,254.36 and its highest point was 10,944.72.
During the same period, the Istanbul Stock Exchange’s Financial Index rose 2.41% to 12,380.73 points, the Services Index rose 0.32% to 10,111.02 points, the Industrial Index rose 1.47% to 14,573.13 points, and the Technology Index fell 0.63%, or 97 points, to 13,665 points.
EMLAK KONUT GYO is the stock with the highest premium
Among the components of the Istanbul Stock Exchange’s BIST 100 index, the biggest gainer this week was Emlak Konut Real Estate Investment Trust, which rose 13.90%.
It is followed by Emlak Konut Real Estate Investment Trust (Oyak Çimento) with 11.11% and Anadolu Group Holding with 11.00%.
Among them, the biggest declines were seen in Mia Technology (12.04%), Şekerbank (10.22%) and Türkiye Sigorta (9.20%).
The companies with the highest market capitalization traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange are Koç Holding (TL 581.0988 billion), Garanti BBVA (TL 514.080 billion) and Turkish Airlines (TL 425.040 billion).
Gold prices rise
Last week, the price of 24-karat gold bars rose by 2.12% to 2,504 liras per gram, and the gold price in the Republic rose by 1.19% to 16,393 liras.
The dollar was selling at 32.7190 liras, down 0.30%, while the euro was selling at 35.3940 liras, up 0.77%.
The pound was sold at 41.4710 lira last week and rose 0.93% this week to 41.8550 lira.
Buyers of the Swiss franc were quoted at 36.4170 liras, down 0.18% from the previous week.
Best Fund
For the week, mutual funds gained an average of 0.48% and BES funds gained an average of 1.18%.
Among investment funds, “stock funds” had the highest increase, reaching 1.08%, but no fund fell.
Among the BES funds, the fund with the highest increase was the “Government Contribution” fund, which increased by 2.30%, while the only fund with a decline was the “Precious Metals” fund, which increased by 0.01%.
