The Social Security Administration announced that from July 1, it will be possible to apply for supplementary family allowances and family allowances for spouses with children under 36 months old who are not in kindergarten, provided that they and their families are actually residents of the St. Marino territory or holders of residence permits.
According to Law 64 of May 8, 2009, this right exists if the annual per capita income of the family is equal to or less than € 8,500.00. Applications related to 2023 must be submitted to the Social Security Institute – Family Allowance Office – before September 30, 2024, attached to the above application:
- Declaration in lieu of certification and affidavit, completed by the applicant in the office. Family allowance, including 15 euros stamp and identity document;
- In particular, for the flat rate deduction provided for in this field, point 4. 2 letters a) and b) need to be accompanied by appropriate documents proving that the loan concerns a residential property and subdividing the capital account quota and the interest quota;
- For letter c), a copy of the lease agreement and the 2023 rent payment receipts;
- Applicants who have been granted a decree of separation are required to provide a copy of the relevant approved decree of separation;
- Copies of tax returns filed abroad;
- Compensation of any nature received by associations, sports federations, state and autonomous bodies, voluntary military bodies, etc., which is not included in the tax return.

In order to provide the best service to citizens, those interested in submitting an application are kindly requested to obtain all the above-mentioned documents (including copies) in advance and to book a specific appointment at the Economic Welfare Office (Economic Welfare Office) using the Book PA application form (ISS) – Family Allowance – Supplementary Family Allowance Application) on the Public Administration Portal.
We also inform you that the 2022 Supplementary Family Allowances have been paid with a value date of today (June 28): the amounts paid can be viewed for the first time through the Arpa application in the Family Allowances section of the Public Administration Portal.
In fact, the Social Security Institute has completed the development of an important innovation dedicated to the management of supplementary benefits: you can consult your personal status and the history of contributions paid to the ISS online thanks to the “ARPA – Insurance Profile” service, provided by the Portal of the Republic of San Marino, by accessing the website Government Website.
The Family Allowances Office can still be reached on 0549 994401 between 9:00 and 12:00, Monday to Friday.
