Damauli (Tanahun), June 12. An initiative has been taken to develop Chundiramgarh, the birthplace of the original Nepali poet Acharya, as a literary and cultural destination.
Chundiramgha in Tanahun, Bhanu City 4 will be developed as a literary and cultural tourism destination.
Under the leadership of the Bhanu Municipal Corporation, the process of setting up a literary park here has gained momentum. Anandraj Tripathi, in-charge of the Bhanu Municipal Corporation, said that the construction of the literary park has begun with an aim to develop Chundiramgha as Saptadham.
He said that the land acquisition work had been initiated in the past but the pace of work was not accelerated, while the work has been progressing rapidly since this fiscal year. “We have started to develop the birthplace of the first Nepali poet Bhanubhakta Acharya as Saptadham,” he said.
Tripathi said the aim is to make it a literary tourism destination after the birthplace of the original poet Bhanubhakta Acharya connected the whole of Nepal through language.
He said, “The Acharya of Bhanubhakta has a unique identity both nationally and internationally and we have come up with the idea of making this place various places as per the context of time.”
Various structures will be constructed in the literary garden. According to Tripathi, Vishal Salik, Ramayana Temple, Murti Vatika, Bhanu Bhakta Kaalin Sample Basti, Bhanu Sahitya Gram, Bhanu Pragya Bhawan, Bhanu Botanical Garden, Saptdham, Recreational Forest Food Place, Natural Forest Walk, Wealth Sanctuary and Literary Path have been proposed to Bhanu devotees here.
Tripathi said, “The main objective of Bhanu Sahitya Udyan is to develop Chundiramgha, the birthplace of Bhanubhakta Acharya, as a literary pilgrimage site and a centre of cultural unity by building necessary physical infrastructure. Various schemes will be taken up to promote the preservation of Nepali language, literature, culture, tourism, art and national heritage.
According to Tripathi, the aim is to build a huge statue of Bhanubhakta in Ramghakot, construct Saptadham representing seven provinces of Nepal to reflect Bhanubhakta’s contribution to the socio-cultural integration process of Nepal and showcase housing that objectively or figuratively depicts the life, lifestyle and social environment of the people of Bhanubhakta in Ramghadanda.
10 million rupees expenditure
So far, Rs 1 crore, 80 lakh has been spent on the construction of the Bhanu Literary Garden. Rs 1 crore, 80 lakh and Rs 41,500 were spent on the construction of the Literary Park last year and this year.
Chief Administrative Officer Diwakar Paudel said that for the construction of the park, the Lalpurja Municipal Corporation has acquired 135 plots of land.
Similarly, Paudel said that 53 plots in Lalpurja are yet to be constructed and proposals for acquisition of 32 plots are being prepared. The compensation for acquisition of 32 plots has been fixed at Rs 59 lakh.
Poudel said that a budget of Rs 5 crore was received from the government for the construction of the literary garden in this fiscal year. Of this, Rs 76 lakh, 67,800 and 51 have been credited to the accounts of the relevant land acquisition beneficiaries. He also said that a cheque of Rs 1 crore, 29,000 has been issued and is ready to be sent to the bank.
According to Paudel, in the last fiscal, $98,076,00457 had been paid for 38 shares. Similarly, Paudel said that the master plan concept expert meeting in the current fiscal cost three lakh rupees.
Podell said that the construction of the Literature Park has achieved 36% financial progress.
In 2078, Rs 2 crore was allocated for the construction of the Literary Garden. The land acquisition notice was issued on June 19, 2079. At that time, Rs 98 lakh 76,457 were paid for 38 plots of land.
In the current financial year, it is said that the compensation amount was fixed in a meeting on January 23 after receiving a budget of Rs 5 crore on January 3, 2080.
Paudel said compensation for 71 ropani plots of land has been finalised for this fiscal year and has been disbursed in two installments.
