After the podium training of the Hungarian women’s national team on Thursday, team doctor Tamas Harasi told the current M1 channel that the athlete from Dunaújváros will undergo an MRI on Friday morning, after which an accurate diagnosis will be made.

But his further involvement has been questioned.

Three-time European champion Kovac tore the cruciate ligament in her knee in September and was unable to compete in the World Championships in Belgium in October. Her surgery was successful and her rehabilitation went according to plan, but she missed the continental championships in May, the national championships and the World Cup this year, but Zója Székely participated in all of them.

However, according to the selection principles of the Hungarian Football Association, the unnamed Olympic quota was decided by the two in the Bucharest International Competition at the end of June. In the qualifiers in the Romanian capital, Szekely achieved a higher score, and Kovacs was only the first substitute, but in the end he was able to appear in the final and defeated Szekely.

Szekely said earlier on M1 that he was preparing for a five-round benching and that, as far as he knew, there was no time limit on his benching.

The Hungarian team consists of Krisztofer Mészáros, Lili Czifra Bettina and Csenge Bácskay, who are still competing in the Olympics. The men’s qualifiers will be held on Saturday and the women’s qualifiers will be held on Sunday.
